While there is nothing that you will need to do regarding the page layouts themselves, I wanted to explain what they are, so that you can understand why they are important and furthermore, why the categories and listing types are so important.
There are a couple different scenarios for your properties. You have land properties, residential properties and notable sold properties. And for each of those property types, the listing agent can vary as well.
As you can see below, the Residential Page Layout has additional information such as bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage & year built. I didn’t want to use the same layout for the Land pages, because we’d just have a lot of empty spaces.
Residential Page Layout | Land Page Layout |
I created four different versions of the Residential Page Layout and four different versions of the Land Page Layout, each associated with a specific listing agent. When the property is assigned to a particular listing agent, that agents information will then show on the property page.

We also have Notable Sold properties. Because they are special, I wanted to create their own layout. As I did with the Residential and Land Page Layouts, I also created four different versions, each with the different agents information.
Currently, all Notable Sold are using the same layout. Therefore, on ‘Land’ Notable Sold properties, n/a shows on the bedrooms, bathrooms and year built. I will be changing this shortly so that there will be both Residential & Land page layouts for Notable Sold properties – eliminating the n/a from showing up.

Categories tell the website what page layout to use. As previously mentioned, page layouts vary by the Listing Agent, and whether the property is Residential, Land or Notable Sold.
If only the listing agents name is selected, the website will assume that the property is LAND. If the property is Residential, you will need to tick the Residential box in addition to the listing agents name. If the property is Notable Sold, you will tick the Agents Name, and Notable Sold.
If the property is Residential and is being listed by Frances Chalmers, you would select, “Frances Chalmers” & “Frances Residential”.
![]() | If the property is Notable Sold and is being listed by Catherine Harrison Cobb, you would select, “Catherine Harrison Cobb” & “Catherine Notable Sold”
![]() | If the property is Land and is being listed by Sarah Sanford, you would select, “Sarah Sanford”

The Tags show up within the green bubble, that is displayed in the top right hand corner of each of the properties on the Properties Page.

The tags that are in use currently are: • For Sale • Sold • Coming Soon • Pending • Notable Sold In this example, Notable Sold was chosen. ![]() |
When adding your tags, you can type in what you’d like the tag to be, or click the link to choose from a list of previously used tags.

The Listing Type tells the website what filters to use on the Properties Page.
On the properties page, above the list of properties there are clickable “filters”. ![]() |
NOTE: No matter if the property is For Sale, Sold, Notable Sold or Coming soon – you MUST also tick the box for All Properties in addition to the assigned listing type.

This property would display under the filters of “All Properties” and “For Sale”. While there is not currently a filter for Residential, it might be added in the future and a few things in the back end depend on this notation. |
This property would display under the filters of “All Properties” “Notable Sold” & “Sold”. |

The listing type of “Featured” makes the post show up on the front page of the website under the Featured Properties section. ![]() |
When adding a new property, you will hover your mouse over Properties and click on “Add New Post”
Click “Set Featured Image” and either upload a new image or select from media gallery.
Enter the necessary information for the property. I have entered notes for most of the entries, to help guide you. Paste or type your property description into the Property Description box.
The LAND ID Embed Code section is purely for your records at the moment.
After you have saved your progress by clicking UPDATE…
Clicking VIEW PAGE will take you to the website view. If you would prefer to go back to the property edit page, click EXIT instead.
